Garlicky Broccolini

Yes, this is as simple as it can get, yet so tasty! It's the perfect side to any meal. I’ve decided that for this recipe garlic cloves just wouldn't cut it because it wasn't ENOUGH garlic. Often times when you sauté a vegetable with chopped fresh garlic it never sticks to the veggie. What happens is that you end up scrapping the garlic out of the pan and laying it on top of your veggie. I just couldn't have that with this dish. So that is when I decided to not only add chopped garlic but to also add garlic powder. This addition made the dish. Without the garlic powder each bite wouldn't have been packed with as much garlicky goodness.

Single clove garlic.


2 Bundles of Broccolini 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil 4 cloves of Garlic - Chopped 1 - 2 Tbsp. Garlic Powder 1/2 Tsp. Red Pepper Flaked Salt & Pepper to Taste

Heat the olive oil in a sauté pan. Once hot, add the chopped fresh garlic and sauté for a minute before adding the broccolini. Toss the Broccolini with the chopped garlic and cover for 5 minutes. This allows for the stems of the broccolini to get softer, if you don't it will take too long to prepare and might end up burning the garlic. Once the lid is removed, stir to combine once more. Add all the other ingredients and sauté and stir every 30 seconds until it is at your desired tenderness. Serve hot!
